I nearly had an adventure on the way home from work tonight. I was driving home and had got up to a set of traffic lights which were on red so I pulled up in the middle lane so that I could carry on gaily forward when the lights changed. You know what's nice? Lying on my bed reading with the sun pouring through the window and hearing nothing but birds chirping outside. There's not even the sound of traffic. It's so simple and yet so wonderful. And if I was at work right now, I'd be missing this.

On the way to work this morning, I was driving on site to one of the car parks when I came across a duck standing in the middle of the road.
